Job summary

Azimuth Energy Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Drafter cum Designer for a full-time on-site role in Shah Alam. The incumbent will prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and 3D models for electrical, instrumentation, and measurement systems per project specs and standards.

Daily tasks include reviewing docs, coordinating with engineers to refine designs, updating drawings after field feedback, and ensuring compliance with industry codes.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in CAD drafting and design tools (AutoCAD) and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting, including panel layouts, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and best practices related to energy-efficient systems, metering, and industrial installations.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and technical documents, and translate them into clear, constructible drawings.
• Prior EPC or engineering services experience in electrical/instrumentation fields is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing technical documents and coordinating with engineers to refine design concepts.
• Updating drawings based on field feedback and ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry codes.
• Preparing as-built documentation and supporting design optimization for energy-efficient and explosion-proof solutions.
• Providing drafting and design input throughout project lifecycles to support project teams.
