A technology solutions company in Malaysia seeks an Integration Engineer who will focus on requirements gathering and process automation in manufacturing environments. Ideal candidates should hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields. Proficiency with SEMI Standards and hands-on experience in smart manufacturing initiatives are vital. The role demands good technical troubleshooting skills and experience with MES/EI systems. Training business users and providing 24/7 support will be required.
Requirements gathering, analysis document and design/improve IT solution for manufacturing. Study, analyze, simplify, design and implement process/operation automation in manufacturing.
Work closely with CIM/IT/Production/Product/Process Engineer to resolve any technical MES/EI/Mapping related issues.
Prepare training materials and train business users on MES/Equipment Integration related system.
Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) with Key users/users. Provide 24x7 user support on applications and systems supported.
Troubleshoot application related issues and ensure high system availability during full operation. Perform equipment characterization and generate compliance reports.
Master/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or equivalent. Outstanding fresh graduates from reputed universities will be considered for junior positions.
Completion of at least 3 CIM/EI related project life cycles with at least 1 in a project management/ leadership role and 2 in a developer role in a semiconductor manufacturing environment mandatory for Senior Engineer position.
Experienced and knowledgeable in SEMI Standards, namely E-004 (SECS-I), E-005 (SECS-II), E-010 (RAM), E-030(GEM), E-037 (HSMS). Additional knowledge on SEMI Standards E-081 (CIM Framework), E-142 Substrate Mapping will be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
Familiarity with any SECS/GEM characterization tools such as FASTsim, openSIM Pro, SEC SIM Pro or tools of similar nature is mandatory. Familiarity with web technologies such as VB.NET, C#.NET, web services, SOAP and XML will be advantageous. Proficient in database technologies and PL/SQL statements.
Familiarity and exposure to any of the MES systems such as Critical Manufacturing, FactoryWorks, Fab 300, Camstar, Workstream and/or any system of similar nature is highly desired. Familiarity and exposure to any of the Electronic Mapping systems (Wafer/Substrate/Panel) is highly desired.
Hands‑on experience in implementing or supporting smart manufacturing initiatives, including factory digitalization, system automation, and real‑time data integration across production environments will be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
Familiarity with AGV systems, including traffic control, dispatching logic, fleet management, and integration with MES, WMS, or equipment systems for seamless material movement automation will be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
