Job description

Senior Drilling Supervisor (Deepwater - Subsea)

• Manage and supervise daily offshore drilling operations, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Act as the primary offshore representative for the company, providing leadership and direction to on-site drilling and service teams.
• Oversee and coordinate activities of drilling contractors, service providers, marine crews, and rig maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and seamless rig operations.
• Ensure well control preparedness and enforce best practices in accordance with IWCF standards.
• Monitor and optimize drilling performance, identifying opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency and cost control.
• Lead and support the execution of well completion operations, including planning, preparation, and operational execution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rig equipment, drilling technologies, and well control systems applicable to various types of rigs, especially deepwater and floater units.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure mitigation plans are in place for drilling and completion activities.
• Communicate effectively with onshore support teams, providing timely reports, updates, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• PossessCertificate in Engineering or equivalent, OR acceptable workingexperience in Drilling Operation.
• Valid IWCF Well Control Certificate (Supervisor Level)
• Possess valid medical, HUET and Offshore Survival Certificates.
• A minimum of 15 years experience in managing daily drillingoperations offshore with at least 5 years of experience as drillingsupervisor/company man offshore specific in deepwateroperations/ rig floaters.
• Shall have prudent working knowledge in various types of drillingrigs.
• Show proven competencies in various rig operation management.
• Familiar with well completion operations, preferably havingworked within a completion team and been involved withplanning, preparation and execution of completions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary offshore teams (drillingcontractors, service providers, marine crew, rig maintenance).
• Able to communicate and writing in English
