Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management and strategic oversight for governance, risk & compliance, finance operations, capacity management, and sustainability.
• Oversee global regulatory, audit, and ESG mandates across international frameworks such as CSDDD and EED.
• Establish the global rhythm of business with cross-regional reviews, KPI dashboards, and OpEx/CapEx planning.
• Align regional campus operations with engineering standardisation and digital platforms.
• Act as autonomous proxy for SVP of Operations to resolve cross-departmental alignment and drive priority projects.

In this role, you will consolidate administrative oversight across key functional areas—Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Finance Operations, Capacity Management, and Sustainability—allowing our technical and regional leadership to focus on campus delivery, engineering standardisation, and maintaining our 24/7 critical services availability.**Key Responsibilities**Functional Leadership & Line Management* Provide direct line management and strategic oversight for global enablement functions: Governance, Risk & Compliance, Operations Finance, Capacity Management, and Sustainability.* Drive team development across these functions to build a high-performance, highly efficient global operations capability.Global Regulatory & Sustainability Governance* Oversee the execution of global compliance, audit, and ESG mandates, with a specific focus on navigating complex international frameworks such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).* Ensure regulatory requirements across new territories integrated without creating operational bottlenecks or introducing risk to our portfolio.Rhythm of Business & Operational Excellence* Establish and govern the global rhythm of business, including cross-regional operational reviews, executive performance tracking, and KPI dashboards.* Lead the end-to-end annual Operational Expenditure (OpEx) and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning processes in close coordination with Operations Finance.* Align cross-functional workstreams between regional campus operations, engineering standardisation teams (GERA), and digital platforms (Ops Tech).Strategic Execution & Executive Proxy* Act as an autonomous proxy for the SVP of Operations to resolve cross-departmental alignment challenges, streamline decision-making, and remove friction across matrixed teams.* Drive strategic priority projects from inception to execution across our expanding international footprint.**Requirements:**Experience & Background:* 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, strategic planning, or corporate governance within the hyperscale data centre, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, or complex critical infrastructure sectors.* Prior experience serving as a Director of Operational Excellence, or Business Operations Lead in a fast-scaling global matrix organisation.* Strong track record of managing multi-functional administrative and enablement teams (Finance, Compliance, Resource Management).Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:* Solid understanding of hyperscale data centre operations, SLA management, and 24/7 critical environment availability requirements.* Familiarity with global regulatory and ESG compliance landscapes, particularly European frameworks (e.g., CSDDD, EED).* Proven competency in financial portfolio management, CapEx/OpEx planning, and capacity forecasting.Skills & Leadership Attributes:* Exceptional strategic mindset with the tactical ability to drive execution across diverse teams.* Outstanding executive communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.* Strong business acumen with a focus on creating operational efficiencies and scalable processes.**Location & Work Environment**Kuala Lumpur (with global travel requirements to support regional and international site expansions across SE Asia, Europe, and future growth regions).DayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
