Job description
Position Summary

This role reports directly to the CFO and primarily supports the head of operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Global Manufacturing: financial reporting, analysis and ad hoc support for the operations functions.
  • Global Procurement: financial reporting, analysis and ad hoc support for the operations functions.
  • Global Supply Chain: financial reporting, analysis and ad hoc support for the operations functions.
  • Business Partner to the COO and LED Operations Management team. Lead discussions and drive decisions from a financial / business perspective. Help develop and execute the strategy for the company’s global operations.
  • Provide financial stewardship – champion all aspects of finance, accounting and reporting for the WW Operations function and ensure that financial targets and plans are aligned with Lumileds strategies and objectives.
  • Work closely with the head of FP&A to support the monthly forecast and annual plan processes, coordinating inputs from the operations teams. Lead for gross profit analysis of price, volume and mix.
  • Forecast short-, mid- and long-term capital investment requirements. Analyze, challenge and ratify capital investment proposals with factory teams and the CAPEX Board.
  • Drive the development and maintenance of detailed cost price models and cost price roadmaps; ensure factory teams drive continuous cost improvements through yield, value engineering, purchasing, material consumption and related improvements.
  • Manage the company standard cost accounting process, including annual standards revisions and monthly variance analysis.
  • Support product management with business case analysis for product investments and pricing models.
  • Provide coaching and development to the factory controllers (direct reports) and the global manufacturing team.
  • Identify opportunities and insights for improving profitability and operational cost efficiency.
  • Establish highly collaborative, cross-functional relationships across the business and organization.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience, ideally with experience in operations finance within a global, complex, manufacturing business.
  • Exceptional communicator with ability to present concepts, recommendations and analyses to the executive team in a clear, concise and actionable manner.
  • Ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics and communicate results effectively.
  • Experience aligning and driving cross-functional groups.
  • Problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage schedules and timelines.
  • Proven track record of advanced analytical skills; must be able to define and execute key analyses with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience creating and implementing process and standardizing financial reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
