Job description

The Senior Manager, Digital Commerce is responsible for leading Kao Malaysia’s overall digital commerce strategy and operations across all paid, owned, and earned media online platforms, including Meta, Google, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and emerging channels. This role drives the end-to-end performance of Kao’s e‑commerce business — encompassing strategic planning, platform management, campaign execution, analytics, and cross‑functional collaboration with marketing, sales, and creative teams. The position plays a key role in accelerating Kao’s digital transformation, develop full‑funnel digital marketing strategy, ensuring consistent brand representation, optimizing consumer engagement, and achieving sustainable business growth aligned with Kao’s global Kirei Lifestyle vision.

Job Descriptions

Develop and execute Kao Malaysia’s digital commerce strategy to achieve business growth objectives, ensuring alignment with brand, marketing, and sales plans across all e‑commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and others).

Lead the end‑to‑end management of Kao’s online stores and campaigns, including product assortment, pricing, promotions, media planning, and execution to maximize sales performance and visibility.

Strengthen partnerships with key e‑commerce platforms and digital agencies through joint business planning, campaign co‑creation, and performance review to drive continuous improvement and category growth.

Oversee digital performance analytics and reporting, translating insights into actionable strategies to enhance conversion, traffic, and return on investment (ROI).

Provide advice or manage media buying across platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, DV360). Drive ROAS, CPA, CPM, CTR, and conversion through optimization and A/B testing.

Oversee always‑on content, influencer collaborations (KOL/KOC), and platform strategy.

Collaborate closely with Category Managers, Trade Marketing, and the Digital Creative Unit to ensure cohesive brand storytelling, content quality, and consumer experience across digital touchpoints.

Manage A&P budgeting and P&L accountability for the digital commerce portfolio, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability targets are met.

Drive capability development and leadership within the digital commerce and creative teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data‑driven decision‑making.

Champion Kao’s philosophy and vision, embedding sustainability, consumer care, and corporate values into all digital initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, E‑Commerce, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 8–10 years experience in e‑commerce, digital marketing, or online retail, ideally within FMCG or consumer brand sectors.

Proven experience managing online flagship stores and executing high‑impact platform campaigns.

Strong understanding of digital analytics, SEO/SEM, and performance marketing.

Excellent leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and communication skills.
