Who You Are

Subject matter expert in chip‑level LED packaging and module‑level product design (including optics, PCB, and housing), responsible for leading the development and support of next‑generation products, packages, and technologies.

Position Summary
  • Lead Package and Product Design: Drive the design of LED package and module‑level product, acting as the primary liaison with customers and product marketing teams to define specifications and translate ideas into robust, manufacturable designs.
  • Support Product Development: Contribute to the design and development of both new and existing products, including performance evaluations and qualification processes.
  • Apply Technical Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of relevant technologies and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) methodologies, staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Proactively investigate and resolve design‑related challenges, particularly during development phases or when unexpected issues arise.
  • Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Partner closely with engineers, customers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure the development of robust, high‑quality products.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives focused on enhancing product quality and cost‑efficiency through design optimization and process improvements.
What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications)
  • Strong hands‑on design experience: including semiconductor substrate design using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (2D & 3D), with proficiency in stack‑up tolerance analysis and application of GD&T principles.
  • Additional skills: in statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP) and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) are considered added advantages.
  • Solid knowledge and practical exposure to SMT and LED packaging requirements and industry specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams and customers; proven ability to manage projects efficiently.
  • Skilled in analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving design and manufacturing challenges, to ensure robust product performance.
  • Able to assess the impact of manufacturing variations on product outcomes and implement effective measurement methodologies to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Capable of contributing to project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely execution and alignment with development milestones.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years.
