Job summary

GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, seeks a platform engineer to design and operate a scalable deployment platform used by hundreds of teams. You will own end-to-end deployment components, drive multi-cluster strategies, and ensure safe progressive delivery.

You will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and work onsite, shaping the deployment model, ML serving, and cross-system reliability. Strong Kubernetes and EKS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Production Go (or comparable systems language) experience.
• Solid, hands-on Kubernetes depth and workload rollout knowledge.
• Experience building or operating deployment/CD systems.
• Bias toward durable fixes and RFC-style design.
• Direct experience with EKS at scale, Istio, Flagger, Argo Workflows/CD, Helm, or OCM.
• Exposure to multi-cluster or multi-region Kubernetes architectures.

Responsibilities

• Manage deployment platform components end to end—from RFC through design, implementation, rollout, to operation.
• Extend deployment model for multi-deployment placement with OCM and hub-side Istio orchestration.
• Build and harden progressive-delivery mechanics (canary/blue-green) with safe guardrails.
• Design deployment abstractions for heterogeneous ML serving workloads.
• Debug cross-system production issues and implement durable platform fixes.
• Raise engineering bar via RFCs, design reviews, code reviews and mentoring.
