Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience as a MySQL/MSSQL Database Administrator.
• Solid knowledge in MySQL/MSSQL technologies, network, and security.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS RDS or Google Cloud SQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting languages such as Bash Shell.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in a high transaction processing environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin.

Responsibilities

1. Configure, monitor, upgrade and maintain MySQL databases in all environments.
2. Develop database solutions in terms of architecture and design, database security, migration, upgrade, backup and recovery.
3. Maintain database performance by identifying and resolving problems. Capable of using performance tools to identify issues.
4. Provide database support in terms of troubleshooting, generating custom reports, and database administration for applications to ensure continuous operation.
5. Proactively improve efficiency of daily routine tasks as well as effectiveness in database performance tuning, data migration and recovery specifications.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
2. At least 3 years of working experience as a MySQL/MSSQL Database Administrator.
3. Solid knowledge in MySQL/MSSQL technologies, network, and security.
4. Experience with cloud services such as AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL or Microsoft Azure is an added advantage.
5. Familiarity with Linux operating system and scripting languages such as Bash Shell; knowledge of Go programming is an added advantage.
6. Strong problem‑solving skills, good analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work in a high database transaction processing environment.
8. Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
