Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Senior Data Scientist in Kuala Lumpur to develop and implement data-driven solutions across the business. You will build, deploy, and monitor models, mentor junior team members, and translate business questions into actionable analytics.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights, ensure robust data storytelling, and stay current with trends in data science and insurance analytics.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Data Science or Computer Science.
• Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modelling and machine learning.
• Proficiency in Python, R and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical mentoring and code reviews for junior team members.
• Design, deploy and monitor machine learning models in production environments.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights with data storytelling.
• Lead technical solution design for data science initiatives.
• Support data science POC and use-case development with business value estimation.
• Develop predictive models to enhance claims management and customer experience.
• Collaborate with leaders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Translate inquiries into experimental designs to test hypotheses.
