Job description

We are seeking two Senior Data Centre Shift Technicians with strong IT capabilities and a solid understanding of data centre operations and facilities management (F.M.). These roles will support the Data Centre Manager in daily operational activities, with an additional focus on PDU (Power Distribution Unit) programming and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the data centre environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee shift operations within the data centre, ensuring uptime, efficiency, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on both IT and facilities‑related infrastructure.
  • Support the Data Centre Manager in building, reviewing, and refining SOPs for operations, incident response, and maintenance processes.
  • Manage and configure Power Distribution Units (PDU) and ensure accurate system programming and load balancing.
  • Collaborate with IT and Facilities teams to ensure proper integration of critical systems (servers, UPS, cooling, fire suppression, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to incidents, escalations, and alerts to maintain high availability and compliance with SLAs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and shift logs.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior technicians when required.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a data centre or critical facilities environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure, network systems, and data centre operations.
  • Hands‑on experience in PDU programming, monitoring tools, and control systems.
  • Familiar with BMS, DCIM, and facility support systems.
  • Experience developing or maintaining SOPs and operational manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Willing to work on a rotational shift schedule and be on standby when required.

  • Extension: Renewable for an additional 12 months based on performance and project requirements.
