Job summary

A growing data centre consultancy firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Chargeman (B0) to oversee electrical systems in a data centre environment in Cyberjaya. The role involves operation, monitoring, and maintenance of power distribution, UPS, and generators, with emphasis on safety and incident response.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional B0 chargeman Certificate.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance and management.
• Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting and system monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, backup power systems (generators, UPS), and power distribution.
• Good command in English for both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical systems in the Data Centre (PDPs, circuit breakers, transformers, UPS).
• Perform routine checks and troubleshooting of electrical systems to resolve faults promptly.
• Oversee testing and maintenance of backup power systems to ensure readiness.
• Ensure safety compliance and participate in safety audits and inspections.
• Lead in power restoration during outages and coordinate with teams and contractors.
• Supervise technical staff and provide guidance during maintenance tasks.
• Maintain logs of performance, maintenance, and repairs; prepare reports for senior management.
