Job summary

Maybank is seeking a data analyst to support the data management head with requests from Project Support, URS and BAU fixes. You will write, understand, and troubleshoot complex business logics in SQL/HQL and provide RCA and fixes.

Responsibilities include writing stored procedures and functions in Teradata, Oracle and Hive, developing shell scripts in Unix/Linux, reviewing BRD data requirements, mapping data to the DWH design, and profiling data quality to address issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in IT/CS or related discipline.
• Working experience in Data Warehouse banking preferred.
• 6-10 years total work experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility as data analyst to assist data management head for requests from Project Support, URS and BAU fixes.
• Write, understand and troubleshoot complex business logics in SQLs/HQLs and provide RCA and fixes.
• Write Stored Procedures and Functions SQLs for Teradata, Oracle, Hive HQLs.
• Develop jobs in shell scripts in Unix/Linux.
• Review BRD to confirm data requirements.
• Cross-check against Data warehouse to confirm data availability or data gaps.
• Perform data mapping based on DWH design and model.
• Perform data profiling to identify data quality issues.
