Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
• Legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship not available.
• Minimum 8 years of information security experience.
• At least 3 years in senior hands-on security operations (Senior Security Engineer/Analyst, Incident Responder).
• Hands-on experience investigating security incidents and responding to alerts.
• Experience with EDR/XDR platforms and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, review, and triage cyber threat intelligence alerts.
• Investigate EDR/XDR alerts and perform technical analysis of endpoints.
• Differentiate true vs. false positives and escalate/remediate as needed.
• Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents (validation, containment, eradication, recovery).
• Coordinate with IT/infrastructure teams during major incidents and document outcomes.
• Review and prioritize vulnerabilities by risk and business impact.
• Collaborate to track remediation activities and escalate significant risks.
• Prepare security reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and KPIs.
• Maintain the cyber security risk register and recommend mitigations.
• Support audits, collect evidence, and assist third-party security assessments.
• Review security requirements for changes affecting OT/production environments.
• Support third-party penetration testing and remediation tracking.
