Job summary

Singtel is expanding its Kuala Lumpur Shared Services Centre and seeks a Corporate Counsel to support commercial contracting activities across domestic and global suppliers and partners. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts, while advising on risk and aligning with business objectives in a fast-paced, cross-border setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law and admitted to practice in Malaysia, Singapore, or the UK.
• Minimum of 10 years PQE in a reputable law firm or in-house environment.
• Experience in TMT industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate contracts – end-to-end drafting and negotiation of procurement, partnership, and commercial agreements (telecommunications, IT, procurement).
• Provide strategic legal advice on contractual, commercial, and operational matters.
• Partner with IT, Networks, Corporate Functions, and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
• Manage legal risk in line with Singtel Group policies.
• Provide remote legal support to Singapore-based teams and collaborate with Group Legal.
• Maintain documentation, contract governance, and retention of knowledge.
• Drive standard processes and best practices across contract management.
• Address complex legal/commercial challenges with negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across geographies.
