Job summary

A global energy service provider in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Coordinator for Quality (NDE). This role involves overseeing NDE inspections and ensuring compliance with quality procedures during the construction phase. Ideal candidates should have a mechanical engineering background, significant experience as an NDE QC Coordinator, and expertise in inspection activities within the Oil & Gas or Wind Energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 - 20 years’ experience as NDE QC Coordinator.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or Wind Energy platform inspection activities.
• At least 4 - 6 years of supervisory experience in NDT.

SENIOR COORDINATOR - QUALITY (NDE)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform relevant discipline-specific duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Review NDE - related procedures required during the Construction phase.
• Review and approve Subcontractors' NDE - related deliverables.
• Ensure timely NDE inspection and coordination during fabrication and construction.
• Verify that the correct procedures are being followed for the NDE process.
• Monitor the performance of NDE sub-contractors, ensuring personnel are qualified and competent to perform allocated tasks, and have valid certification, where required, for the NDE techniques in use.
• Review NDE reports, including RT, UT, MT, and PT, to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Perform Radiographic Film Interpretation.
• Prepare/ Review daily NDE reports.
• Monitor NDE backlogs and take appropriate action to clear them.
• Coordinate and record regular quality meetings with NDE Sub-Contractors and Clients.
• Organize/Conduct internal audits, including preparing the audit plan and coordinating the audit report with the Auditee.
• Support the Site QC Manager and Project team in resolving NDE-related technical issues.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PCN/ ISO 9712 Level III in RT, MT, UT, PT;
• CSWIP RT Film Interpretation/ RTFI Level II Certification.
• CSWIP/ PCN Certification in Welding Inspection would be useful. (Multi-discipline is preferred – NDT with Welding Inspection)
• Minimum 15 - 20 years’ experience as NDE QC Coordinator.
• Should have experience in Oil & Gas or Wind Energy platform inspection activities.
• Should have 4 - 6 years of experience at a supervisory level in NDT and should have experience in TKY joint NDT.
