This position is to fulfill the legal requirement & compliance to have a competent Senior Chargeman to assist & operate 11KV substation and other electrical equipment.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Assist Leader of Operations to ensure the Facility comply with relevant statutory and regulatory (DOSH, DOE, NIOSH, ST, BOMBA, PBT, Insurance), engineering standards, QMS/SEMS procedures, safety & health committees, ERT and company requirements.
- Monitor, maintain and ensure heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), air compressor, exhaust, waste water treatment is running at optimum operating level.
- Monitor and maintain plant facilities such as building, Factory monitoring system (FMS), electrical installations, firefighting, drainage, flooring, piping, roofing and other facilities.
- Lead, train, communicate and educate subordinates in a day‑to‑day task.
- Ensure all calibrations on electrical switches boards/switch gears and all other electrical safety devices are carried out accordingly.
- Work with consultant engineers such as mechanical, civil or electrical engineers to ensure all new and existing installations and maintenance of electrical equipment is safe, correct and comply with ST requirement.
- Identify and manage faults, troubleshoot, investigate facility or production problems and repair equipment quickly and efficiently to avoid downtime.
- Prepare and manage preventive maintenance schedules for equipment under the care of the Facility Department and ensure the schedule is duly executed.
- Plan and implement an energy management system and carry out assessment/audit to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Monitor, follow up and manage all maintenance contracts, project work and works of service providers to ensure full M&E maintenance support is provided at all times.
- Adhere to department budgets and ensure site maintenance expenditures are within budget.

DOSH, DOE, NIOSH, ST, BOMBA, PBT, Insurance – Compliance to Legal & others requirement.
Consultant/Contractor/Supplier/Auditor – Project/maintenance works & ensure fulfill to company requirement and job scope.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum eight (8) years of working experience in Facility and Maintenance field.
- Possess strong troubleshooting skills and capabilities.
- Knowledge in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Knowledge in facility mechanical system troubleshooting and operation.
- Possess strong analytical capability.
- Able to work with others and possess good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and under tight schedules and deadlines.
- Good written and fluent spoken in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
