1. Product Discovery & Requirements Analysis
- Facilitate and lead discovery workshops with stakeholders to define product goals, user needs, and design opportunities.
- Translate business objectives and user insights into clear, actionable design requirements.
- Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and usability evaluations to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define success metrics and KPIs for product features.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including:
- Business Requirements Document (BRD) – prepared in collaboration with project requesters.
- Product Requirements Document (PRD) – inclusive of functional specifications authored by the BA.
- Use Cases and Process Flows – developed and maintained by the BA.
- Ensure all design deliverables align with the company’s design system and accessibility standards.
- Maintain documentation that provides traceability from business requirements to implemented features.
Design Execution & Quality
- Lead and oversee the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring visual and interaction design quality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to refine wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs.
- Conduct and support user testing to validate design hypotheses and improve usability.
- Partner with QA and engineering teams during development to ensure design integrity through SIT and UAT stages.
- Responsible for ensuring the product is both user‑friendly and aligns with business objectives.
- Evaluate new feature requests or product changes through impact and feasibility analysis.
- Assess potential user experience trade‑offs, dependencies, and implementation risks.
- Use analytics and qualitative feedback to continuously improve design performance and adoption.
Cross‑functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between business, design, and engineering teams to align objectives and priorities.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver cohesive and meaningful user experiences.
- Facilitate alignment sessions to ensure shared understanding of the problem space and desired outcomes.
- Advocate for user‑centered design principles and foster design thinking across the organization.
Design Operations & Team Leadership
- Drive design process improvements and advocate for modern tools, workflows, and methodologies.
- Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement to ensure design readiness for development.
- Contribute to scaling the organization’s design maturity by improving collaboration and consistency across teams.
Project Coordination & Delivery Support
- Project planning, timeline monitoring, and delivery tracking.
- Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming to ensure readiness and prioritization of requirements.
- Escalate risks, issues, or blockers promptly to ensure timely resolution and project continuity.
- Maintain transparent reporting of status updates, progress, and deliverables to key stakeholders.
Analytical & Technical Contribution
- Conduct data analysis and define data requirements and constraints for integrated systems.
- Participate in system design reviews to ensure functional accuracy and alignment with user expectations.
- Provide technical assistance to developers, including clarifying requirements and reviewing deliverables.
- Explore and adopt new tools or technologies to improve analysis, documentation, and delivery effectiveness.
