Senior Brand Manager – Malaysia Market
Purpose of the Role
A Senior Brand Manager is responsible for shaping and maintaining the brand’s online presence, ensuring consistency across all digital channels, developing digital marketing strategies, engaging audiences through compelling content and managing online campaigns. The role also leverages data analytics to optimise brand performance and drive portfolio growth in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Craft brand strategies and brand plans to increase brand awareness and market presence.
- Lead a multi‑functional team to implement brand plans in the marketplace and monitor the performance of support plans.
- Analyse brand Profit and Loss (P&L) and drive profitability (Topline, GM % and Bottomline).
- Lead ongoing analysis and review of consumer, category, channel/customer, and competitive information as part of a situation assessment of brand performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Build productive relationships with key interfaces to manage the brand’s day‑to‑day operations, external partners, and agencies.
- Provide input to volume forecasting, financial updates, and monitor key indicators and drivers of brand performance (6P – Proposition, Product, Packaging, Price, Place & Promotion).
- Recommend solutions and implement improvements to meet annual targets (Financial and Brand metrics including market shares, penetration, and brand health).
- Participate in NPD launch management, building launch plans, customer sell‑in, and handling legal and regulatory issues.
- Manage the assigned brand’s new product launch assessment and deployment in the local market, including P&L, pricing, place, and positioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in brand management, digital marketing, or a related role, preferably in health, pharmacy, or FMCG.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies while managing day‑to‑day brand operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to connect trends to opportunities and translate them into executable plans that unlock growth across multiple markets.
- Demonstrates strong insight generation and analytical skills to develop robust marketing strategies.
- Effective cross‑functional team player who leads discussions and planning for the brand portfolio to ensure successful delivery of marketing‑led initiatives.
- Strong business and commercial acumen with an understanding of Blackmores strategies and the customer/consumer marketing environment.
