Job summary

PwC Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will drive automation, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support rapid and reliable software delivery.

Collaboration with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams is essential to ensure availability, performance, and cost efficiency while adhering to best practices in security and data protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or in a similar role supporting cloud infrastructure and deployment operations (Azure).
• Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and DevOps practices within the Microsoft Azure environment.
• Experience with hosting PHP Laravel applications is an added advantage.
• Strong experience with IaC using Terraform and Azure-supported automation frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and other automation tools.
• Scripting knowledge in Bash and PowerShell.
• Good understanding of backup, recovery, DR, and high availability in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure for applications and platforms.
• Develop, manage, and maintain IaC (Terraform) for repeatable deployments.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for reliable software delivery.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency in Azure deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infra teams to improve release processes and platform reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, identify root causes, and apply fixes.
• Maintain security best practices across Azure environments, including IAM and network security.
