Job Title: Senior Automation Business Analyst

Hiring Manager: Vladimir Vukadinovic

Location: Petaling Jaya

Our team: Technology and Innovation team is a key pillar of Sanofi Business Operations, encompassing Intelligent Automation and Process Intelligence. Team delivers process optimization and end-to-end automation solutions. The Senior Automation Business Analyst will work on automation projects across all business units as part of an international, transformational organization driving digitalization with flexible working support. You will collaborate with developers, focusing on business requirements, solution design, and project management while developers handle technical implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Main responsibilities: Deliver Automation and AI projects globally across the technology portfolio, including RPA, Low Code Solutions (Microsoft Power Automate), AI/Agentic AI Projects, and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).

  • Business Analysis & Requirements: Translate business requirements into technical needs and data models; conduct process analysis and identify automation opportunities; create and maintain process documentation; work with Developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications; collaborate with architects and developers to ensure technical feasibility; act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical development team.

  • Project Management: Manage stakeholder relationships across functions and with third parties; define business cases, monitor progress, manage risks and issues; ensure adherence to Sanofi automation methodologies and best practices.

  • Technology Implementation: Provide business context and requirements to guide technical architecture decisions; with architects, recommend optimal technologies (RPA, AI/ML, Power Automate, IDP, native automations or combinations) for business challenges; collaborate on solution design ensuring business needs are met through technical implementation.

  • Development Support: Work closely with Developers and business stakeholders during solution development; provide ongoing business guidance and clarification during development; collaborate on testing strategies and user acceptance testing; create user stories, UAT documents, and process scenarios; ensure developed solutions meet business requirements and user expectations; serve as central knowledge point for business processes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and improve existing automation policies, standards, and templates; manage Knowledge Base for automation projects; stay in touch and implement market best practices for AI/Low Code/RPA/IDP frameworks.

Qualifications
  • Background and Experience: 5-7 years in automation projects as business analyst/data scientist/PM; preferred experience with AI/agentic AI projects and machine learning implementations; previous experience with RPA, application builds, IDP projects; Global Business Services or transversal role experience preferred.

  • Technical skills: Understanding of technologies required rather than hands-on development; preferred experience with RPA platforms (Automation Anywhere preferred, Blue Prism, UiPath), Microsoft Power Automate and Power Platform; AI frameworks and platforms (e.g., Amazon Bedrock); IDP platforms (ABBYY, Kofax); programming languages (Python, SQL); data analytics tools (Power BI); big data platforms (Data lake, Snowflake); enterprise systems (SAP, Workday, Coupa, Salesforce); strong collaboration skills with technical development teams.

  • Process knowledge: Preferred experience in Finance (A2R, P2P, O2C), HRS, Procurement, M&S, Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, Clinical Trials, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Quality, R&D, Medical Affairs; process assessment and modeling techniques; cross-functional, multi-geography collaboration skills.

  • Project management: Professional certification preferred (PMI-CPMAI, PMP, CAPM, Prince2); Agile/Scrum methodology experience; PM tools proficiency (Jira, Confluence); multi-project management and risk mitigation expertise.

  • Soft skills: Requirements gathering and technology recommendation abilities; strong communication and presentation skills across organizational levels; ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders; delivery-focused with problem-solving mindset; stakeholder management and influence without authority; continuous learning mindset; fluent English required.

  • Education: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Administration degree (preferred).

  • Preferred Qualifications: Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Platform certifications preferred; AI/ML enterprise implementation experience; Lean Six Sigma methodology knowledge.
