About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Audit Manager to join our Group Internal Audit at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing audit assignments covering Basel II, Basel III, MFRS 9, Risk‑Informed Pricing (RIP), and other functional audits as outlined in the approved Audit Plan. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of the Bank’s operations with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) requirements, Basel frameworks, and internal policies, while providing value‑added insights to strengthen the Bank’s risk management and governance practices.

What you will be doing
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments to support effective audit planning.
  • Lead and execute audit assignments on Basel II, Basel III, MFRS 9, Risk‑Informed Pricing (RIP), and other functional audits in accordance with the approved Audit Plan.
  • Review audit work performed by team members to ensure alignment with approved programs, internal requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor team progress to ensure timely completion of audit assignments within budgeted timelines.
  • Participate in product, policy, and process reviews, providing value‑added recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and control.
  • Contribute to Basel‑related projects and initiatives as required.
  • Review and finalize audit findings to ensure quality, accuracy, and practical recommendations are provided.
  • Attend end‑of‑audit discussions with auditees and prepare audit reports for review and clearance by the Functional Audit (FA) Head, Functional Group (FG) Head, and Group Chief Internal Auditor (GCIA).
  • Follow up with auditees on rectification progress of audit findings to ensure timely closure of issues.
  • Attend ad‑hoc assignments and meetings as directed by the FA Head, FG Head, or GCIA.
  • Ensure timely update and maintenance of Electronic Working Papers (EWP) in the Audit Management System (AMS) and monitor team compliance.
  • Update and enhance Audit Programs to align with the latest regulatory and internal guidelines.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8‑10 years of audit experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Basel II/III, MFRS 9, BNM guidelines, and internal control frameworks.
  • Proven experience in leading audit teams and managing multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report‑writing skills.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to provide constructive, value‑adding recommendations.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA would be an added advantage.
