About the role

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our PCAOB Audit Team for SFAI MALAYSIA PLT. The Senior Associate will carry out US engagements independently, effectively and deliver high quality audit services under the supervision of a superior which includes assisting in planning, execution and finalization of an audit engagement.

What you'll be doing
  • Carry out US IPO engagements, US listed entities audit engagements as well as various corporate exercises assigned.
  • Apply requisite professional scepticism during the course of the work and exercise professional judgement on critical technical issues
  • Manage the stakeholders’ expectations and project timelines, and proactively keep your supervisor and any relevant party abreast of the progress of the project
  • Documenting all findings and preparing detailed reports for management and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless engagements
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance the quality of our services
  • Able to deliver all tasks assigned by your superior within the designated timeline, communicate effectively with your superiors and be able to accept constructive feedback during performance reviews and work towards constant self-improvement
What we’re looking for
  • Degree in Accounting or a related field / Professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in auditing US Listed companies. Experience in IPO process in US Exchange is an added advantage
  • Strong grasp of technical skills with proficiency in US GAAP and ISA
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using audit software and data analysis tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
