Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT is seeking a Senior Associate to support sustainability and climate change engagements from planning through completion. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this full-time role is suited for an experienced auditor or energy/emissions analyst seeking to broaden into ESG reporting, assurance, and advisory services.

• Degree from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 2 years professional experience in engineering, finance or sustainability.
• Efficient, highly effective work ethic - able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in 3 or more projects at one time; averaging 3 projects at one time.
• Ability to work in and contribute to the effective delivery of project deliverables, outputs, and support the growth of project team members.
• Highly proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English – reading, speaking, writing.

Responsabilités

• The candidate will support the delivery of Sustainability and Climate Change services to GTM clients in Malaysia and member firms across Southeast Asia, in line with GTM's purpose and values through.
• Supporting project execution and documentation activities under the direction of the Management team.
• Supporting the management team in delivering projects across a range of sectors, clients and countries across Southeast Asia/Asia Pacific.
• Development of sustainability and ESG reports, corporate sustainability and target-setting.
• Analysis of sustainability risks, opportunities and trends for clients, as well as conducting policy/regulatory analysis.
• Gap analysis and benchmarking of client sustainability programs and performance.
• Climate strategy development and related services, such as analysis of climate risks and opportunities, decarbonization strategy; and
• Supporting management and delivery of corporate sustainability and climate-related proposals.
• Supporting in carrying out sustainability assurance engagement by assessing and providing independent verification of a company's ESG practices, disclosures, data and performance, especially those related to energy and emissions.
• The sustainability assurance engagement overview may involve processes such as assessment and verification, data analysis, stakeholder interview, assurance reporting and recommendation for areas of improvement.
• Support with department administration, including but not limited to independence checks, logistics, finance and procurement.

Senior Associate - Sustainability and Climate Change

The Senior Associate will be involved in the performance of sustainability and climate change-related engagements from planning right through to the successful completion. The position is full-time and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This role is ideal for either: 1) an experienced financial auditor looking to broaden their career into sustainability reporting, ESG assurance, and sustainability advisory services or 2) an experienced energy and emissions analyst looking to apply their skills in the same areas.

The successful candidate will support organisations in improving the quality, reliability, and transparency of sustainability information while helping them navigate evolving sustainability reporting and assurance requirements.

Responsibilities

The candidate will support the delivery of Sustainability and Climate Change services to GTM clients in Malaysia and member firms across Southeast Asia, in line with GTM's purpose and values through:

Requirements:
