Job summary

PwC in Malaysia is seeking cybersecurity and data privacy advisory professionals to help clients assess risks, design strategies, and strengthen security programs. You will engage with stakeholders to translate findings into actionable recommendations and drive improvements.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant consulting experience, knowledge of NIST/ISO standards, and applicable certifications; a bachelor’s degree is expected, with strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in Cyber Security / Data privacy, with a focus on consulting or advisory services.
  • Knowledge of NIST, ISO and other security standards.
  • Certifications – at least one – ISO 27001 LI / LA, ISC2 - CC, ISC2- CCSP, CSA-CCSK, CSA-CCZT , IEC 62443 or any other relevant cyber security certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Assessments: utilise recognised frameworks to evaluate privacy and cybersecurity risks within IT/ OT settings, identifying vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • Crafting Cybersecurity Strategies and Policies: contribute to strategic plans and policy frameworks to strengthen security practices and address evolving threats.
  • Presenting Findings and Strategic Recommendations: provide clear, organized presentations of insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Performing Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Assessments: Utilise internationally recognised frameworks to evaluate privacy and cybersecurity risks within IT/ OT settings, pinpointing potential vulnerabilities and areas necessitating enhancement.
  • Crafting Cybersecurity Strategies and Policies: Contribute to the development of strategic plans and policy frameworks aimed at fortifying organisational security practices and addressing emerging cyber threats.
  • Presenting Findings and Strategic Recommendations: Provide clear and organised presentations of insights and proposed recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders, fostering informed decision-making and encouraging active participation in cybersecurity initiatives.
About You
  • Minimum of 2~4 years of experience in Cyber Security / Data privacy, with a focus on consulting or advisory services.
  • Knowledge of NIST, ISO and other security standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Information security / Computer Science / Information Systems / Information Technology or relevant experience.
