Senior Architect (Contract – Johor Bahru)

Project: Addition & Alteration to Existing Podium and Construction of New Hotel Apartments in Johor Bahru

Contract Duration: 30 months (with potential extension based on project requirements)

We are seeking a passionate and capable Senior Architect to join our team for a high-profile A&A project in Johor Bahru. You will play a key role in driving design coordination, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring smooth delivery from concept to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a transformative project that blends innovation with functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including client/building owner, building management, and consultants for design inputs and permit submissions.
  • Manage authority submissions and facilitate site inspections and clearances.
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery from inception to handover, including chairing meetings, detailing procurement requirements, reviewing shop drawings, and approving materials and specifications.
  • Attend periodic meetings in Singapore as part of project alignment.
Requirements
  • Degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in schematic design, design development, tender documentation, and project administration.
  • Strong portfolio of completed work across various project types.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian local building codes, authority requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Positive attitude with strong team spirit and communication skills.
  • Candidates with more experience may be considered for a senior role.
