Job summary

Glow Production in Malaysia seeks a Senior Animator to drive character and creature performances for cinematic sequences. You will own shots end-to-end, from layout to final polish, using video references to ground performances and collaborating in daily reviews to refine aesthetics.

Ideal candidates bring 4–6+ years of professional animation experience, mastery of traditional principles, a strong cinematic eye, and expert Maya skills to push production quality in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional experience animating characters or creatures in cinematics, high-end gameplay, films, or VFX.
• Strong understanding of traditional animation principles, weight, acting, and complex locomotion.
• Eye for camera placement, layout, framing, and pacing to support cinematic storytelling.
• Proactive in optimizing workflows and applying industry best practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication to articulate creative choices and adapt to direction.
• Deep proficiency with Autodesk Maya and ability to troubleshoot animation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality character and creature animations driving narrative and emotional weight.
• Own assigned shots from layout to final polish with timely delivery.
• Shoot and use video reference to ground performance in realistic body mechanics.
• Participate in daily reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to improve aesthetics and performance.
• Maintain organized, pipeline-friendly files for seamless handoffs to downstream departments.
• Collaborate with Animation Leads, Directors, and team to enhance production quality.
