Job summary

Air Liquide Malaysia is seeking a Senior Analyst, General Ledger (Japanese Speaker) to join ALBS, covering APAC with KL-based operations. You will handle journals, billing, accruals, forex, and intercompany activities, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance.

The role requires 3+ years in audit or shared services accounting, a degree in Accounting/Finance, and proficiency in English and Japanese (JLPT N1/N2 preferred). Hybrid work, MRT-accessible office, and a multinational team await.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in audit, commercial accounting or shared services accounting required.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance equivalent.
• Business level English and Japanese; JLPT N1/N2 preferred; native Japanese with related experience welcome.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
• Team player, initiative and ownership of duties.
• Converse with Oracle/ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accounting tasks including Journal, Billing, Expense accrual, Forex Revaluation, Cost recharge.
• Explain Month-on-Month P&L fluctuations and Actual vs Target to affiliates.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation and historical data cleansing.
• IRIS reporting (P&L, BS, Cash Flow, Intercompany declaration).
• Prepare statutory financial statements.
• Full support to external and internal audits.
• Support on General Ledger operational excellence project.
• Other tasks such as raising SNOW/IT tickets, creating projects/assets.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As the Senior Analyst, you will manage:

• Accounting (Journal, Billing, Expense accrual, Forex Revaluation, Cost recharge etc.)
• Explain on Profit & Lost fluctuation Month-on-Month and Actual vs Target to affiliates

Are you a MATCH?

The successful candidate should have:

• At least 3 years in audit, commercial accounting or shared services accounting is required
• Degree in Accounting / Finance equivalent
• Business level proficiency in English and Japanese languages, both verbal and written. Preferable certified in JLPT N1/N2 or some years of studied or lived in Japan. Native Japanese with related experience are welcome to apply.
• Good knowledge in accounting principles
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
• Possesses team player qualities and takes initiative and ownership of assigned duties
• Conversant in Oracle and Google Workspace preferred but experience with other ERPs may be considered
