Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking an AVP, AML Controls Reviewer in Kuala Lumpur on a hybrid basis. The role conducts risk assessments, reviews SOWs, and provides recommendations on retaining or exiting client relationships.

The ideal candidate holds a finance-related bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' AML/compliance experience, strong analytics, Excel proficiency, and relevant certifications like CAMS.

Qualifications

• possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in banking/financial services with AML/compliance exposure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and provide risk acceptance recommendations for high-risk clients.
• Review risk factors and changes in risk ratings.
• Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained to complete the review process.
• Assess client background including SOW write-up and corroboration.
• Collaborate with AML Operations, RM, CA/SCA to ensure timely reviews.
• Provide business recommendations on retaining or exiting client relationships.
