Job summary

OCBC is seeking an executive to provide strategic oversight of AML/CFT and financial crime risk management across the CFS portfolio. The role includes approving high-risk customer reviews (EDD, TER, PR, TR) and advising business units to balance growth with controls.

The candidate will lead the CARM team, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with regulators and group policies, while mentoring staff and building risk culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of AML/CFT and financial crime risk management experience.
• Strong regulatory knowledge and sound risk judgement.
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
• Ability to make informed decisions on complex high-risk customer relationships and AML risk matters.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior management, Compliance, Audit, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic oversight of AML/CFT and financial crime risk management across the portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Acts as key approver and escalation point for high-risk reviews (EDD, TER, PR, TR).
• Provides AML/CFT and sanctions advisory support to business units.
• Drives process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement of AML controls.
• Leads, coaches, and develops the CARM team with strong risk culture.
