Job summary

Propelis in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Adaptive Designer to translate concepts into production-ready artwork. You will ensure brand consistency and collaborate with designers and clients to meet tight deadlines.

With 6+ years in adaptive design, you will handle multiple projects, troubleshoot issues, and implement efficient workflows. Proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop and print production is required. On-site work in Penang, Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Art & Design, Printing Technology or equivalent.
• More than 6 year(s) of working experience in the adaptive design/ artwork, design production, pre-press, printing, packaging and advertising industry or digital imaging.
• Required skill(s): Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Macintosh and/or Windows.
• Understand of the print process, knowledgeable in multiple aspects of print production techniques. Able to understand branding, brand design and able to create cohesive designs across multiple platforms.
• Ability to prioritize workload, proactively seek answers to questions, and meet assigned deadlines.
• Mature, hardworking and able to manage time efficiently to work in an up-tempo environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design adaptations, to production artwork builds in accordance to client's specifications.
• Ability to interpret concept and/or brand guidelines through to artwork execution.
• Executes creative and graphic concepts in collaboration with assigned team.
• Producing high quality adaptive design artworks that meets or exceeds global industry standards. Ensures accurate, consistent, and timely completion of high-quality artwork by effectively using industry standard software, tools, and print techniques.
• Ensure brand and design consistency across client initiatives.
• Support the team to fulfil client briefs by providing creative solutions.
• Acts as the point person for adaptive design troubleshooting problems, and proactively anticipates and resolves issues with limited direction.
• Quality check all work performed following the department’s standardized procedure.
• Reviewing all adaptive design/ artworks with design team.
• Speak with clients and/or external vendors to identify and resolve adaptive design/ artwork related issue.
• Driven to consistently exceed client expectation, thrive in the demands of pressing deadlines and confidently manage multiple artworks and often quickly changing priorities.
• Provide solutions and implement new workflows to execute accurately and timely product.
• Contributes to process improvement on a regular basis.
• Create strong and effective internal partnerships. Collaborate with Adaptive Designers and Client Coordinators to ensure systems and processes are efficient and properly executed in the day-to-day operations.
• May perform other work tasks as needed to meet client needs.
