About the role
Mykira Solutions Sdn Bhd, a leading accounting and consulting firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time member of our Financial Accounting & Reporting team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients with their accounting and reporting needs.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing client management account to ensure accounting timelines are met
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual management account, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Preparing timely reports on Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet (BS), Bank Reconciliation, and other supporting schedules in accordance with the Company’s accounting policies
- Resolving accounting queries and addressing issues that arise from client portfolios
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of SST returns and other regulatory financial reports
- Continuously identify process improvements and implement efficient accounting practices
- Providing support in the analysis of financial data and the identification of trends and insights
- Manage and handle corporate, partnership, and individual tax matters, including annual tax returns, tax estimates, and tax refund applications
- Handle correspondences and liaise with clients, auditors, regulatory bodies and other relevant parties
- Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time
What we’re looking for
- Possess at least Degree in Accounting/ACCA/CPA/MICPA/CTIM/MIA
- Positive attitude, passionate about collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members
- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point
- Preferable language: Mandarin, to liaise with Mandarin stakeholder
- Able to work independent with minimum supervision
- Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in handling full sets of accounts (preferably in an accounting firm)
