A leading food industry company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to manage full sets of accounts, oversee payroll processing, and ensure compliance with Malaysian financial regulations. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in accounting, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and strong proficiency in accounting software. Benefits include EPF, SOCSO, and medical coverage.
Handle the full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation).
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management and financial reports.
Review journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
Monitor company cash flow and prepare cash flow statements and forecasts.
Prepare supplier and vendor payments using the accounting system.
Verify invoices, supporting documents, and approvals prior to payment.
Ensure accuracy in payment vouchers, bank transfers, and cheque preparation.
Maintain proper records for all payment transactions and liaise with banks as needed.
Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
Verify attendance, overtime, allowances and deductions before processing.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF).
Maintain employee records, leave and HR‑related documentation.
Handle staff claims, annual bonus calculations and salary adjustments.
Support HR functions such as onboarding, confirmation and employee record updates.
Assist management in ensuring HR policies and procedures are followed.
Ensure compliance with MFRS, local accounting standards and tax laws.
Prepare SST, tax filings and other statutory submissions accurately and timely.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents and other external parties.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to company financial policies.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasts.
Conduct variance analysis and highlight key financial insights.
Provide financial and HR‑related data for management decision‑making.
Supervise and guide finance staff.
Review financial and HR‑related entries prepared by subordinates.
Perform ad‑hoc duties or analysis as assigned by management.
Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in accounting and payroll; experience in HR functions is an advantage.
Skills: Proficient in accounting systems (UBS, AutoCount or similar).
Knowledgeable in Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF, EA Form).
Strong analytical and organisational skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to speak and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.
Able to communicate effectively with Mandarin‑speaking suppliers, clients and employees.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, [8.00am – 5.30pm].
