Job description

Overview

Senior Accounts Executive / Accounts Executive (Property Development) - Handle full set of accounts, including general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax and treasury issues. Finalize and close monthly accounts. Preparation of monthly financial and management reports. Maintain updated accounting records. Prepare audit schedules and account reconciliations, to assist in audit matters (e.g., preparing and providing documents to auditors) to ensure smooth and successful audit process. Perform day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely generation of progress billings upon receipt of Architect Certificate.
• Prepare and compile billing and collection reports as required by management.
• Prepare Borang 7(E) annually and 7 (F) quarterly as per KPKT requirements.
• Ensure tax compliance and coordinate year end audit.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary, suppliers & etc.
• Manage and monitor current accounts, HDA accounts and daily cash positions. Ensure that company\'s commitments are met and to highlight if there is a foreseeable shortage of funds or cash flow deficit.
• Liaise with the bankers on relevant documentation (e.g., prepare loan draw down letters to send to the bank) and to follow up accordingly.
• Assist in preparation of financial analysis, financial projections and any related report for management decision making.
• Work alongside the Project Team to prepare project feasibility studies, market studies, cash flow projections, etc.
• Prepare costing, and other ledger reporting as and when required.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a SPM, Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 year(s) of relevant working experience in the related field is required for this position (preferably with Property Development / Construction industry).
• Knowledge in property development accounts / stage billing for HDA will be an added advantage.
• Preferably Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
• Well organized, detailed, analytical, systematic, cost conscious, good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in accounting system(s) and MS Office package (Excel, etc.)
