Job summary

A leading cold storage company in Lahad Datu, Sabah is seeking a skilled financial accountant to manage full accounting duties and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, a minimum of 3-5 years experience in retail and manufacturing, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This role requires strong multitasking abilities and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure timely statutory compliance.
• Manage financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and other professional bodies.

Job description

Handle full set of accounts and all financial reporting activities including statutory submission.

Ensure timely statutory compliance.

Manage financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection, consolidation and evaluation of financial and banking data.

Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closing and reporting.

Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and filings.

Liaise with auditor, tax agent, banker, secretary, government and other professional bodies.

Perform other duties as and when delegated.

Handle and manage stock requisition, payment collection monitoring and issuance of invoices.

To manage stock and ordering of consumable items.

Checking of monthly claims.

Responsible for banking and office administration tasks.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Required skill(s): Microsoft Office applications, Autocount & Panda POS.
• Multitasking and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• At least 3 to 5 year(s) of working experience in retail and manufacturing field.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Lahad Datu, Sabah.
• Preferably job experience specializing in Finance/ Accounting.
