Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Accounts Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to support management decision‑making and tax planning. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing data entry to ensure financial information is accurately captured in the accounting system.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations, AR and AP aging reports, and fixed assets schedules.
  • Managing payroll preparation and related documentation.
  • Preparing balance sheet notes and reporting packages.
  • Reviewing junior staff work and providing guidance when necessary.
  • Preparing tax provisioning for CP204.
  • Conducting analytical reviews of profit and loss movements and balance sheet variances.
  • Preparing payments via cheque or telegraphic transfer.
  • Participating in stock count procedures when required.
  • Coordinating with clients to request documentation and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Liaising with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Advising clients on operational matters such as documentation and payroll.
  • Assisting team leads/managers in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Job Requirements

Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role or within a professional services firm, with team management experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Malaysian citizenship or valid work authorization in Malaysia.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is preferred to support China‑based clients.
