Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Accounts Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to support management decision‑making and tax planning. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing data entry to ensure financial information is accurately captured in the accounting system.
- Preparing bank reconciliations, AR and AP aging reports, and fixed assets schedules.
- Managing payroll preparation and related documentation.
- Preparing balance sheet notes and reporting packages.
- Reviewing junior staff work and providing guidance when necessary.
- Preparing tax provisioning for CP204.
- Conducting analytical reviews of profit and loss movements and balance sheet variances.
- Preparing payments via cheque or telegraphic transfer.
- Participating in stock count procedures when required.
- Coordinating with clients to request documentation and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Liaising with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to meet statutory deadlines.
- Advising clients on operational matters such as documentation and payroll.
- Assisting team leads/managers in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Job Requirements
Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role or within a professional services firm, with team management experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Malaysian citizenship or valid work authorization in Malaysia.
- Ability to speak Mandarin is preferred to support China‑based clients.
