Job summary

A well-established event venue in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to handle full accounts management, including AP, AR, and GL. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong payroll processing skills, and knowledge of tax compliance. This role offers the opportunity to prepare financial reports and manage cash flow in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Handle the full set of accounts: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports and cash flow forecasts
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
  • Process and verify staff claims according to company policies
  • Submit SST and support in tax‑related matters and audit processes
  • Ensure timely and accurate e‑Invoice submissions to LHDN in compliance with government regulations
  • Monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and manage payments and collections
  • Assist in budget preparation, cost control, and variance analysis
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and government authorities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax laws, and internal control frameworks
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in accounting
  • Familiarity with Xero and Autocount software
  • Strong accounting skills with experience in AP, AR, and GL
  • Proficient in payroll processing and statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
  • Knowledge of tax and regulatory compliance, including SST and LHDN e‑Invoicing
