Job summary

A prominent local construction firm in Johor Bahru is seeking an Accounts Executive responsible for managing the full set of accounts, preparing financial statements, and performing daily operations. Candidates should possess LCCI Higher or a degree in finance, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. Familiarity with accounting software is preferred.

Job description

To responsible for company full set of accounts.

To ensure accounting records and reports prepare in accordance with sound accounting practices and company policies.

Preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditor.

Perform daily accounts operation tasks, including banking and finance.

Ensure all accounting records are properly update and reconcile in accounting system.

Ensure proper filing of accounting records and documents.

Maintain proper filing of records in accordance to ISO Quality Management System (QMS) implementation and to provide support to the ISO QMS for its effectiveness.

Any assignment as deemed fit and necessary by the Management.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least LCCI Higher / Diploma / Degree in Finance / Accountancy / or equivalent.

At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Required Skill(s): Possess initiative and excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of accounting software, preferable in IFCA.

The history of Shiya Sdn Bhd began with the involvement in construction works upon obtaining the Class D license from Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor (PKK).

Several projects were successfully secured from the private sector as well as government agencies such as Jabatan Kerja Raya, Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru, Majlis Perbandaran Johor Bahru Tengah, Tenaga Nasional Berhad and many more companies.

With rapid growth in the construction industry, Shiya Sdn Bhd has successfully upgraded to Class A Contrator in 1993. Some of the remarkable projects includes Johor International Convention Centre (PERSADA), Johor Specialist Hospital and several housing development projects.

Up to date, Shiya Sdn Bhd has successfully completed and handover approximately RM855 million worth projects consisting of various types of building and civil engineering works.
