Job summary

A healthcare facility in Johor Bahru is looking for an experienced accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, assist in month-end closing, and provide support to HR processes. Candidates must have a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of Singapore accounting is a plus. The role offers a dynamic environment where attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of HR processes will be beneficial.

Job description
Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and data entry.

Assist in month-end closing tasks and preparation of financial reports/schedules.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.

Process staff claims, supplier invoices, and payments.

Assist with SST submissions, audit schedules, and liaison with external auditors or tax agents.

Support intercompany billing and simple reconciliations if required.

Assist HR in maintaining employee records, attendance, and leave management.

Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes.

Provide general administrative support to HR and management when required.

Undertake any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in accounting.
  • Experience in Singapore accounting (GST, reporting, or payroll exposure) is an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of HR processes will be beneficial (training provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Strong attention to detail, good time management, and ability to multi-task.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
