A financial services company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, 5 years of experience, and proficiency in accounting software. Responsibilities include managing accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial controls in a dynamic work environment.
Analyze account data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports on account status, performance, and growth opportunities.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Assist in monitoring and analyzing financial data for accuracy.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data for planning.
Internal Controls:
Assist in implementing and maintaining internal control procedures.
Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance.
Vendor and Client Communication:
Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment and invoicing issues.
Resolve inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the accounting team and other departments.
Provide support to team members as needed.
Conduct basic financial analysis and present findings to senior management.
Assist in identifying areas for cost control and process improvements.
Educational Level:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Working Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Previous experience in an accounting assistant manager or similar role is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities:
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Certificates & Qualifications:
Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is a plus.
Team player with a collaborative mindset.
