A leading packaging solutions company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full financial operations. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and be bilingual in English and Mandarin. Responsibilities include financial analysis, reporting, and liaising with external stakeholders. Experience in manufacturing is an advantage. This role is critical for maintaining compliance and improving financial performance.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a minimal requirement.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
Full set accounts and finance operation experience is required, independently with minimal supervision.
Essential to be Bilingual in English with Mandarin (including reading and writing) as required handling mandarin stakeholders.
Ability to work in fast paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel, accounting software and data analysis tools.
Experience in the manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities:Responsible for full spectrum of accounting and financing functions of the company (include maintaining of the accounting system, full sets of accounts, financial reports, statutory reports, journal entries, reconciliations, GL, AR, AP, E-Invoicing implementation)
Financial modeling and analysis, preparation of budget, forecast and cash flow.
Responsible in risk analysis, credit evaluation and detecting financial fraud.
Keep updated with latest tax and regulatory which complies with local, state and federal government regulations / reporting requirements.
Liaise and coordinate the provision with Bankers, External Auditors, Tax Agent and Custom.
Detect and calculate any variance from financial metric and report any significant issues to the management.
Recommend a benchmark against the company operation’s performance metric.
Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investment, pricing decision and contract negotiation.
Strong persuasive power, influencing and negotiation skills to convince and rectify significant issues that might threaten the company’s overall performance.
To review SST filing to Custom Department on a bi-monthly basis.
To take charge of tax audit by Custom Department and carry out SST investigation if necessary.
Any ad hoc task as assigned by superior.
