Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall operations of the accounting and finance function.
• Oversee full sets of accounts including account settlement, consolidation, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Prepare and review budgets, financial forecasts, management accounts, and statutory financial reports.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to management to support business decision‑making.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, company secretaries, tax consultants, and government authorities on financial, accounting, and regulatory matters.
• Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Review and enhance internal controls, accounting systems, and financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications

• Recognized Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related fields.
• Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and/or Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant working experience, including managerial or supervisory exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Government Service Tax (GST) and other relevant tax regulations.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
