Job summary

A growing financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts and ensure compliance with payroll and tax regulations. The successful candidate will lead a team of junior accountants and be responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, and liaising with external auditors. An ideal candidate holds an accounting degree with ACCA/CPA certification and has a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

  • Good degree in Accounting or Finance, with ACCA/CPA certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience; full sets of accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel skills; other systems experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ensure payroll payment and tax compliance with governmental laws.

Job description

This role is to manage the full sets of accounts for Marco business entities in the region, and to provide professional expertise, supporting the company’s business growth. She/He also needs to work extensively with government agencies to ensure payroll payment and tax compliance.

In charge of APAC entities.

Responsible for accounting operations, intercompany activities, reconciliation, monthly management reporting, statutory reporting, GST filing, corporate tax filing and preparation of financial statements.

Liaise and co-ordinate with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and company policies.

Ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes.

Lead a team of junior accountants.

Requirement

Good degree in Accounting or Finance, with ACCA/ CPA certification.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experiences; full sets of accounting experience is preferred.

Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel skills; other systems experience will be added advantage.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
