A leading equipment integration company in Penang, Malaysia, is looking for a qualified Finance Analyst. This role involves preparing financial statements, conducting variance analysis, and collaborating with teams on financial processes. Candidates should possess a degree in Accounting/Finance and have at least 5 years of experience in financial analysis and accounting. Strong communication skills in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Join a dynamic team and contribute to meaningful projects across international borders.
Responsible in preparation of monthly financial statements and perform in depth analysis on financial results.
Conduct variance analysis (budget or trend vs actual) to pinpoint inefficiencies and root causes.
Monitor direct and indirect costs, identify cost drivers and recommend opportunities for cost reduction or process improvement.
Involvement in preparation and analysis of quarterly forecasts and annual budget.
Work and collaborate with cross functions teams on costing, and work centers rates, determine standard cost and investigate variances against actual costs.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other statutory bodies to ensure compliance with matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirements.
Perform adhoc analysis as needed from time to time and take charge of any other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification
At least 5 years of working experience in finance analysis and accounting (experience in contract manufacturing or semiconductor industry is a plus point)
Experienced in handling full set accounts, and closing related tasks
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and focused on achieving results
Good communication in English and interpersonal skill, able to work independently
Great teamwork and able to work under tight deadlines
Willing to learn new skills and open for opportunities aboard will be a plus point
Experience in liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance with matters relating to audit and other statutory requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Office
Proficient in Oracle system will be an added advantage
