This role oversees the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations for the Group’s Malaysia business. The Manager will ensure financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting the CEO and Group Finance in driving performance and governance across entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all finance operations, including AP/AR, payroll, treasury, and cash flow management across multiple business entities.
- Drive month-end and year-end close processes — ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and clear visibility on performance results.
- Ensure governance and compliance with accounting standards, tax, and statutory regulations across Malaysia and Group-level requirements.
- Partner with the CEO and Group Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews, providing insights that guide business and investment decisions.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and investment portfolios, ensuring liquidity and risk are well-balanced to support business growth.
- Lead audit coordination with external auditors and regulators, ensuring transparency and audit readiness.
- Continuously enhance systems, reporting frameworks, and internal controls to strengthen efficiency and accountability.
- Mentor and develop the local finance team, fostering a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Min of 7 years of working experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, audit practices, and statutory compliance.
- Credible interpersonal and leadership presence — able to influence, collaborate, and build trust across teams and senior levels.
