A dynamic marketing agency in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Account Executive to manage client relationships and ensure successful campaign executions in influencer marketing. Job Summary:
As a Senior Account Executive, you will support the team in managing client relationships and coordinating with creators to ensure smooth and successful campaign execution.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure strong alignment, smooth communication, and high campaign satisfaction.
Provide strategic and day-to-day support to nurture long-term partnerships and meet client marketing goals.
Translate client briefs into actionable campaign strategies and creative outputs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, creators, and talent managers to streamline collaborations and enhance execution.
Act as a fair negotiator and trusted bridge between brands and talents, ensuring mutual understanding and respect.
Identify and recruit rising or niche creators aligned with campaign needs to grow a high-quality creator pool.
Prepare compelling proposals with clear deliverables, competitive costings, and ROI projections.
Negotiate optimal KOL rates that balance campaign profitability with creator satisfaction.
Collaborate with sales and creative teams to upsell new formats and participate in quarterly reviews to support renewals and growth.
Troubleshoot execution issues such as delays or tracking gaps, resolving them with minimal disruption.
Identify upsell opportunities within client portfolios, including add-on services like affiliate marketing, live commerce, or retargeting.
Stay on top of social media trends, algorithm changes, and creator innovations, sharing insights with the team and clients to keep campaigns fresh.
Job Requirements:
2-5 years of sales/account management experience in media/advertising industry.
Preferably with experience working in an influencer marketing agency, media company, digital agency, or e-commerce platform.
Familiarity with campaign lifecycle management — from briefing, execution, tracking, to reporting.
Strong understanding of influencer platforms, talent ecosystems, and KOL/creator collaboration workflows.
Proven track record of retaining and growing client revenue through effective account management.
Solid understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Xiaohongshu) and familiarity with live commerce, influencer marketing, and digital campaign workflows.
Strong client service and relationship-building skills.
Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
Proven track record of achieving financial sales targets.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and/or Bahasa.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite.
