We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal postings, and balance sheet schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Support financial analysis and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Transaction & Record Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely posting, verification, and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and ensure proper documentation for all accounting entries.
- Compliance & Internal Control
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audits, both internal and external, by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of internal controls and financial processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Procurement, and HR to ensure smooth financial processes.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving accounting systems, workflows, and reporting accuracy.
- Provide responsive support and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ad-Hoc Support
- Assist the finance team in various ad-hoc analyses, reports, and projects as required.
- Contribute to the development of process documentation and best practices within the finance department.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the food and beverage or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles (GAAP) and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Autocount or equivalent) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively across functions and manage deadlines under pressure.
