Job summary

A palm oil management company is seeking a Senior Account Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations. This role involves preparing management accounts, handling full sets of accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax matters. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to operate accounting software are essential. This position is located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Job description

SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

To manage day-to-day accounting operations and functions, such as data entry for the accounts receivable accounting system

To able prepare management account, balance sheet, income statement, & cash flow

To managing e-Invoice tasks such as issuing, receiving, verifying, and filing invoices.

To handle emails related to payments, invoices, etc.

Able to operate accounting software.

Handle full set of accounts.

Prepare bank reconciliation.

Ensure monthly accounts are closed on time and prepare monthly management variance reports.

Verify that all payments are supported with properly approved documentation.

Handle all tax matters.

Liaise with external tax agents, auditors, company secretary, bankers, government bodies, and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and good governance.

Maintain and update the fixed asset and inventory registers.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or professional certificate in accounting

Proven experience as an Senior Accounts Executive / Account Executive or similar role in the palm oil background/Transportation industry, with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in full set accounts and subsidiary company management.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.

ACCA qualification or Chartered Accountant certification is an added advantage.
