Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage financial reports, oversee account management, and ensure all tax compliance is met. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of experience in the field, with specific experience in manufacturing accounting. You will lead a team, manage cash flow, and ensure timely tax filings while working in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports, statements, and account summaries for management review
• Manage full set of accounts and Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), payroll, rental & utilities, maintenance, fixed asset purchases, loan installments, and adhoc payments
• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including SST, TDS, and income tax compliance
• Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor and enhance internal controls and standard financial procedures
• Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure timely invoicing, follow up on payment collections, and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff. Monitor account performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations or corrective actions
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the management related to the role.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in an account management in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial compliance
• Ability to communicate, present and lead a team
• Ability to multi-task and deal with high volumes of work.
• Experience in manufacturing / production line of furniture or relatable items
• Able to work independently, under pressure and deal tactfully with people at all levels
• 5 working days per week
• Willing to work at Serdang, Seri Kembangan.
