About the role

Adenland Assets Sdn Bhd. is seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our new Hotel in Rawang, Selangor. As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing the hotel’s financial records and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting transactions. This position is responsible for preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, managing payments and collections, and maintaining compliance with hotel policies and accounting standards.

What you'll be doing
1. Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Record daily financial transactions including sales, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Prepare and maintain ledgers, bank reconciliations, and account statements.
  • Verify, allocate, and post transactions in the accounting system accurately.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
  • Monitor and maintain petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and replenishment.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documents, and ensure timely payments.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables from corporate clients, travel agents, and other parties.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payables and receivables.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure proper filing of payment vouchers.
  • Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documents for internal and external audits.
  • Conduct budget preparation and cost-control analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, accounting standards, and relevant legislation.
4. Coordination & Communication
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure accurate submission of financial data.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, clients, and auditors when necessary.
  • Provide accounting support to management and respond to financial inquiries promptly.
What we're looking for
  • Academic requirement: a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: a minimum of 2 years in a similar senior accounting role, preferably in the hospitality or F&B industry.
  • Technical skills: proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., SQL, UBS, IFCA).
  • Bonus: experience or exposure to Malaysian taxation—corporate tax and personal income tax (documentation, basic computations, supporting schedules, liaison with tax agents).
  • Personal attributes: strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Working style: ability to work independently and collaborate within a team as required.
  • Integrity: high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Language: must be able to converse in Mandarin or Cantonese.
